In today’s article, we’re diving into four money-making methods in Old School RuneScape (OSRS) that require zero skill. Stick around because two of these methods can net you over 1 million OSRS gold per hour, and one will blow your mind by turning one gold into 240 gold. Let’s learn about OSRS ways to make money.
-
Creating Redwood Pyre Logs
The first method I want to go over has zero skill requirements but does require a bit of starting gold. This method involves creating Redwood Pyre Logs. According to the OSRS Wiki, you can expect to make 1.4 million gold per hour doing this. You should be able to create around 2,700 logs per hour.
Steps:
- Check Margins: As with any money-making method, you need to start by checking your margins. In this instance, we managed to get the Redwood Logs for 580 gold each and the Sacred Oils for 259 gold each. This results in a total cost of 839 gold to make one pyre log.
- Profit Calculation: We are expecting to sell these logs for a minimum of 1,450 gold each, meaning we should profit 611 gold for every log that we make.
- Execution: Add oil to the logs, rinse, and repeat. These pyre logs are used for the Shades of Mort’ton minigame, which makes their daily trade volume a staggering 68,773 per day. So selling these should be no problem at all.
In 55 minutes, we managed to finish off all 2,700 of these sacred logs. This was a very click-intensive 55 minutes, so I think it’s more realistic to expect to do around 2,500 to 2,700 per hour depending on how hard you try. Regardless, 2,700 pyre logs at 611 gold profit per log means we should be looking at a profit of 1,650,000 gold in the hour.
On supplies, we spent 6,774,300 gold on the sacred oil and 1,566,000 gold on the logs for a total cost of 8,340,300 gold. After selling off the logs, we walked away with 10,055,123 gold for a total profit of 1,715,000 gold in the hour, which even after the sales tax was over our projected profit, was huge.

Buying and Opening Unfinished Broad Bolt Packs
The second money-making method is simple, quick, and fairly constant, making you upwards of 1 million gold per hour if you can catch the right margin. This involves buying and opening unfinished Broad Bolt packs from a Slayer Master.
Steps:
- Purchase Packs: You don’t even have to check the margins because if you cannot sell the unfinished Broad Bolts for at least 57 gold in the Grand Exchange, then do not do this method—you will not profit.
- Sell Bolts: As long as you can sell them for at least 57 gold, you will be walking away with a profit. You can collect tons of these bolts per hour, making the profit pretty decent.
- Execution: Buy and open these bolt packs, wait for the shop to refill, and then rinse and repeat.
In 2 minutes, I managed to burn through 1 million gold and walked away with 17,960 unfinished Broad Bolts. I was planning on selling these for 57 gold each and walking away with a smooth 23,000 gold profit in 2 minutes, which would math out to 690,000 gold per hour. However, they ended up selling for 135,000 gold, meaning in that 2 minutes of work, we walked away with 355,000 gold in profit, which would math out to just over 1 million gold per hour.

Buying Butterfly Jars
This next method is wild. Using this method, you can turn 1 gold into 240 gold. There are a few catches, though—it takes quite some time to spend that much money, and the daily trade limit on this item is mediocre at best, meaning it would probably take equally as long to sell these items as it took to collect them.
Steps:
- Buy Butterfly Jars: These sell at a Hunter shop in Nardah for practically zero coins (1 coin each).
- Bank and Repeat: Buy them, bank them, buy out all 100 per world, then hop and repeat.
In 10 minutes of doing that, I managed to get 846 jars and spent 1,357 gold, meaning technically each jar cost just a little bit over 1 gold on average. The biggest kicker here is that these only have a daily trade volume of 5,000-6,000 per day.
Technically, if you were the one selling all 6,000 of those every single day, you would be able to turn 10,000,000 gold into 1.4 million gold each and every single day. The 846 jars did eventually sell at around 245 gold each, which means we turned 1,357 gold into 205,000 gold, which is just insane.

Grinding Trailblazer Reloaded League
The final method has no way of quantifying how much you can make per hour, but it is something you can do with zero requirements that, in the long run, will make you a decent chunk of gold. This involves jumping into and grinding out the Trailblazer Reloaded League. The points you earn in the league transfer into rewards in the main game that can be worth some really good money.
Steps:
- Participate in the League: Earn points by completing tasks in the league.
- Redeem Rewards: At the end of the league, redeem your points for valuable rewards in the main game.
At the end of the Shattered Relics League, I walked away with around 20 million gold in rewards, and that was one of the least popular leagues. So, surely the profit can be higher, especially if you have a ton of points to spend.
We just passed the 30-day remaining mark, but that is still a boatload of time to grind out some of those league points. If you have made it this far in this article, comment “Made it” down below for an extra shout-out.
